If you need to log in to your router, you'll need to know its IP address. Fortunately, finding your router's IP address on any computer, phone, or tablet is easy. This wikiHow guide will teach you how to find your router's IP address on a Windows PC, Mac, Chromebook, Android, iPhone, and iPad.

How to Find a Router IP Address

  1. Android: Open WiFi Analyzer and go to ☰ > Access points > your router.
  2. iPhone: Go to Settings > Wi-Fi > your connection and tap the "i" in a circle.
  3. Windows: Open Command Prompt, type "ipconfig," and press Enter.
  4. Mac: Go to System Settings > Network > your connection > Details.
  5. Chromebook: Go to Settings > Network > Wi-Fi > your connection > Network.

    Install WiFi Analyzer (open-source) from the Google Play Store. Because most Android models can't display the IP address of the router you're connected to, you'll need to install a free app. Fortunately, this app has great reviews and is highly recommended online.

    • Open the Play Store app on your Android phone or tablet.
    • Search for wifi analyzer.
    • Tap WiFi Analyzer (open-source) from VREM Software Development, which has a green icon containing white curved lines.[1]
    • Tap Install to get the app.

    Open Wifi Analyzer and tap the menu icon ☰. It's the three horizontal lines at the top-left corner of the screen.

    On Windows, hit the windows button plus R and and type in the letters CMD. As soon as you're in there, type in IPCONFIG /all—that will tell you everything that's connected on your computer on that network. On Mac, open a terminal line and type in IPCONFIG | GREP and then INET. That should show you all the IP addresses that are showing up on your network, including your router.
