A group of the Princess's closest in ranks all sat around a table. A large map in the center and the board behind Toadsworth covered in papers, photos, notes, and letters. "Bowser has had his month with my brother. It's time to take action." Mario's eyes were dark with anger and frustration, bags under his eyes from stressing about the green brother. "If what Luigi wrote in the note about a Drakoopa egg, then we have to tread carefully. An extra month at least to ensure that bowser won't take action apon everyone." Toadsworth pointed with a rod at the letter. [Like one of those red stuck things f*ckin teachers used to have with the gloves heand on the end XD]
"Another month?! It's already been five and a half weeks!" The red clad human slammed his fists on the table, Peach looking at him sternly. "Mario." She began, voice stern and even. "I've read all about what might happen if a Koopa offspring of any kind misses a parental bond. We've all seen it in Bowser's behavior, and removing Luigi too soon could result in the kingdoms continuing this decades long war." She stood from her seat. "But!-" someone cleared their throat, rather loudly might he add- Heads turned to see the princess in orange: Princess Daisy.
"I believe that while action must be taken, we can't barge in and start an attack. I, too, have done research on the matter. Koopas, especially Bowser's breed, are Lethal when it comes to their young, and mates. My grandfather saw first hand, when he tried to reprimand the pregnant Koopa queen at that time. He sustained life-threatening injuries and barely escaped in one piece. Thankfully, the Queen and Heir were unharmed. If they were, then the safety of my kingdom would have been at dire risk." She took a deep breath and stood and turned to peach specifically. "I siggest a scouting team. See the circ*mstances Luigi is in before an attack. I don't think he's in any immediate danger, but we still must be prepared." She bowser her head and sat back down.
Peach nodded and thanked her for the input. "All in favor of scouting the situation?" Toadsworth, Daisy, the second in command general, and the head of communications all raised their hands. "I don't think we should go anywhere near that castle if there's a nest. Bad. News." Toadsworth said. Mario grew hopeful that someone was on his side. But grimaced when the elderly toad raised his hand. "But if we remain stealthy and careful, I see no issue." The human in red groaned and stood abruptly. "Are you all mad?! My little brother is all alone in enemy territory, probably scared out of his witt right now! My fratello isn't cut out for this sort of thing. Daisy! Back me up here." He turned to her hopeful. "I'm sorry, Mario. I know he's not the bravest, but he isn't fragile. I've seen him in dire situations, he can take care until we're ready." She shook her head, an apologetic gleam in her eyes.
"Mario, please, sit down. We should discuss who will be on this scouting mission." Peach took her seat, and gestured with her hand for him to do the same. He growled itallian cursed under his breath but complied. "Thank you. Now, I believe the night brigade would be the best option, lead by Mario." The communication lead shook her head. "They aren't trained for the darklands terrain. I suggest the Laiku patrol. They are better suited fir any terrain, and wouldn't require Mario." Toadsworth and the generals nodded, Daisy and peach in thought. "No way! I'm going. Setwhatever team you need, but im going." He turned to Peach again. "Please, Peach... I need to see with my own eyes if he is okay." His voice was back to a regular tone, but worry and desperation laced his words.
"Hmm... very well. Mario will lead the two heads of the night brigade, as well as two, no... three, Laiku into the darklands to scout for Luigi. All in favor?" Everyone raised their hands and after some final notes, it was decided that they would leave in one week after training and planning their scouting mission.
"Hang on bro... I'm coming." Mario had a plan, and he would do anything for family.
